Orthodontic options

Your straight smile makeover starts here

If you're a regularly attending patient at the practice, we offer a complimentary 15-minute orthodontic consultation to discuss your concerns and assess whether treatment might be suitable. If you'd like to move forward, this will be followed by a full orthodontic assessment (£75), where we take a detailed look at your teeth, bite and jaw position, and talk through which options – Clear Correct aligners or fixed braces – would best suit your needs.

New patients are always welcome for orthodontic treatment too. You’ll begin with a full oral health review alongside your orthodontic assessment so we can make sure everything is healthy and stable before treatment begins. From there, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan and support you throughout your journey with regular check-ins and expert care. Whether you choose the discreet flexibility of Clear Correct or the control of fixed braces, you’ll be in safe hands from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between Clear Correct and fixed braces?

Clear Correct aligners are removable, nearly invisible trays that are changed every few weeks to gradually shift your teeth. They’re ideal for patients who want a discreet option and are good at wearing the aligners consistently. Fixed braces, on the other hand, are bonded to your teeth and stay in place throughout treatment. They’re better for more complex movements and don’t rely on patient compliance in the same way. Your dentist will talk you through which option would suit your smile and lifestyle best.

Do you offer free orthodontic consultations?

Yes – if you’re already a regularly attending patient at the practice, we offer a free 15-minute orthodontic consultation with Anthony. This initial chat is a great way to ask questions, explore your options, and see whether treatment might be right for you. If you decide to go further, we’ll then book a full orthodontic assessment to take records, scans and create a tailored treatment plan.

What’s included in the orthodontic assessment?

The full orthodontic assessment costs £75 and includes a thorough clinical examination, digital records, bite analysis and time to discuss your goals in detail. This fee is fully redeemable against the cost of treatment if you go ahead. It allows us to build a personalised plan that reflects both the aesthetic and functional aspects of your smile.

Can new patients have orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely – we welcome new patients who are interested in fixed or clear braces. Before treatment can begin, we’ll need to carry out a full oral health review alongside your orthodontic assessment to make sure everything is healthy and suitable for movement. This helps ensure your treatment is safe, effective, and built on a healthy foundation.

How long does treatment take?

The length of treatment depends on how much movement is needed. Some mild cosmetic cases may be completed in as little as 6 months, while more complex orthodontic issues can take 12 to 18 months or longer. We’ll give you a personalised timeline at your assessment, and check in with you regularly throughout the process to make sure everything is progressing as planned.

Do braces or aligners hurt?

It’s normal to feel some tightness or mild discomfort when your teeth begin to move, especially during the first few days of each new aligner or after adjustments to fixed braces. This feeling usually settles quickly as your mouth adapts. Most patients find it very manageable, and we’re always here if you have any concerns during your treatment.

What happens after I finish treatment?

Once your teeth are in their new positions, we’ll provide retainers to keep them there. Wearing retainers as instructed is essential to prevent your teeth from shifting back. We’ll explain everything you need to know about retainer care and help you plan for long-term maintenance, so your results last for years to come.

Clear Correct

Clear Correct aligners are a discreet and comfortable way to straighten your teeth without the need for metal brackets or wires. Made from smooth, transparent plastic, they’re virtually invisible when worn and can be removed for eating, brushing and social occasions.

Each set of aligners is custom-made to gradually move your teeth into their ideal position. Treatment is monitored regularly to ensure progress stays on track. It’s a flexible option that fits easily into everyday life while delivering confident, noticeable results.

Fixed Braces

Fixed braces use a system of brackets and wires to gently guide your teeth into alignment with precision and control. They’re highly effective for correcting more complex orthodontic issues and are suitable for both teenagers and adults. Treatment is fully planned and monitored by your dentist, with adjustments made at regular intervals.

While more visible than aligners, fixed braces are reliable, efficient and capable of achieving impressive results. They’re a tried-and-tested way to create a balanced, straighter smile.
